Rheinmetall secured an order extension from the German Bundeswehr valued at over €500 million. The contract covers 149 additional mobile rescue stations. This represents the largest order to date for the Rheinmetall Project Solutions division.
The company booked the order in July 2026. This follows a framework agreement established in late 2024. The deal brings Germany's total planned fleet to 165 units.
These container-based systems include both protected and unprotected versions for emergency medical care. Engineers designed the medical support units for high mobility and rapid relocation based on lessons from the war in Ukraine. Production will commence in the first quarter of 2027. Rheinmetall shares rose in morning trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange following the announcement.
