Rivian has rescheduled the launch of its base R2 electric SUV to late 2027. This entry-level model will carry a starting price of $45,000. The company is prioritizing higher-margin configurations to accelerate its path to profitability while scaling the critical R2 platform.
Deliveries will commence in spring 2026 with the Performance Launch Package. This initial model will start at $57,990. A premium trim is scheduled for release in late 2026. This configuration will start at $53,990.
The standard long-range model will debut in the first half of 2027. This version is priced at $48,490.
