Rivian Automotive (RIVN) initiated a recall covering 19,641 R1S and R1T electric vehicles in the United States. The affected units had previously undergone service work. The company cited an incorrectly assembled rear toe link as the reason for the action.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) oversees the recall. The agency confirmed one reported crash linked to the issue, resulting in minor injuries.

Rivian stated it will replace the rear toe-link bolts for owners at no cost. Following the announcement, Rivian’s stock price reversed, according to financial news reports.

This event marks another significant vehicle recall for the manufacturer, raising concerns regarding safety and quality control standards.
