Germany's Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) authorized SAP to process classified information designated Restricted – For Official Use Only (VS-NfD).
The approval applies to SAP Cloud Infrastructure hosted in Walldorf/St. Leon-Rot data centers. Security-cleared personnel exclusively operate these facilities.
This development enables SAP to pursue contracts with German public sector organizations and regulated industries handling sensitive data. SAP is now among the few cloud providers in Germany with this authorization level.
The certification marks a milestone toward achieving full BSI approval for the company's sovereign cloud portfolio.
