Schrödinger has released an early access version of Bunsen, an AI-powered platform for molecular discovery. The system acts as a co-scientist by combining artificial intelligence with physics-based simulations. It assists researchers in developing computational strategies, executing discovery workflows, and interpreting complex results.
CEO Ramy Farid stated that rapid advancements in AI capabilities allowed for an earlier-than-expected launch. Schrödinger is collaborating with NVIDIA and Google Cloud to provide the necessary AI platform and computing infrastructure. The company scheduled the full commercial release of Bunsen for the end of 2026.
