SES expanded its strategic investment and collaboration with Elveo Mobile, a company formed by the merger of Lynk and Omnispace. The partnership aims to accelerate global direct-to-device (D2D) services to connect mobile phones directly via satellite.
SES will provide global space and ground infrastructure to support Elveo’s engineering, operations, and market entry. In exchange, SES gains access to Elveo’s low-Earth orbit (LEO) network to complement its existing GEO and MEO infrastructure.
This collaboration establishes the first integrated, multi-orbit D2D satellite solution for global customers.
