Satellite operator SES S.A. priced a €500 million eurobond. The senior unsecured notes carry a fixed coupon of 5.625% and were priced at 99.667% of their nominal value. They are due in 2031.
SES will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including refinancing notes due in 2027, as it seeks to strengthen its balance sheet.
Separately, SES extended its long-standing partnership with Sky for direct-to-home (DTH) satellite services in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Under the multi-year renewal, Sky will continue using SES satellite capacity at the 28.2 degrees East orbital position to deliver television services to millions of households.
The partnership began in 1988 and now extends into the next decade.
