Silver imports into China climbed 78% month-over-month in March, reaching a record-breaking volume of approximately 836 tonnes. This figure represents a 173% increase compared to the 10-year seasonal average typically observed during the month of March.

For the current year-to-date period, total silver imports have reached roughly 1,626 tonnes. This cumulative volume marks the highest level ever recorded for the start of a calendar year, driven by unprecedented domestic demand for the precious metal.
