U.S. prosecutors charged Super Micro Computer co-founder Yih-Shyan Liaw and employees Ruei-Tsang Chang and Ting-Wei Sun. The indictment alleges the group plotted to illegally export sensitive AI technology to China. They reportedly used fraudulent documents to bypass U.S. export control laws.

The operation allegedly facilitated the sale of billions of dollars in servers equipped with advanced GPUs. Super Micro has placed the co-founder and two employees on administrative leave.

The company's stock fell more than 9% in after-hours trading following the announcement.
