NuScale Power (SMR) shares rose following an agreement with Amazon to power AI data centers using small modular reactor (SMR) technology.
The company is currently advancing a 462-megawatt project in Romania. It is also coordinating potential reactor deployments with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
NuScale holds the only U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Standard Design Approval for an SMR. Analysts view this regulatory milestone as a significant competitive advantage in the nuclear sector.
The company remains in a pre-revenue stage. While recent commercial deals support its valuation, some investors are scrutinizing milestone payments that do not yet include guaranteed revenue.
