Scott Myers, the senior executive leading Snap’s Spectacles development, has resigned from the company.
His departure occurs months before the scheduled public launch of the consumer augmented reality glasses. Myers ended a six-year tenure following a reported strategic dispute with CEO Evan Spiegel regarding the product's direction.
A Snap spokesperson confirmed the exit and stated the consumer launch remains on schedule for later this year. Snap has positioned these AR glasses as a primary driver for the company's long-term growth.
