Synopsys today announced an expansion of its offerings in the AI cluster interconnects market with the introduction of new Ultra Accelerator Link (UALink) and Ultra Ethernet IP solutions. These new products are designed to power next-generation chip designs and data-intensive workloads. The UALink IP solution aims to provide a throughput of 200 Gbps per lane, allowing customers to scale up to 1,024 AI accelerator links for tasks requiring low latency and high bandwidth. The Ultra Ethernet IP is focused on enabling the connection of millions of nodes for AI scale-out networks, with data rates up to 1.6 terabytes per second. This strategic move positions Synopsys to capitalize on the growing high-performance computing (HPC) and AI market, which demands high-speed, low-latency interconnects for accelerator clusters.
