Sonos introduced the portable Sonos Play and the entry-level Era 100 SL. This launch marks the company's first consumer product release since 2024.

CEO Tom Conrad is utilizing the release to revive growth and restore consumer trust following a 2024 app redesign that damaged sales. The $299 Sonos Play serves as a mid-size portable speaker designed to attract new users. The $189 Era 100 SL offers a more affordable entry point as a microphone-free version of an existing model.

Conrad also confirmed that Sonos has scrapped previous plans to develop a set-top box. The company will focus exclusively on its core audio products moving forward.
