Sony-owned streaming service Crunchyroll is investigating a potential data breach involving approximately 6.8 million users. The company is currently working with cybersecurity experts to verify the incident.
The security breach reportedly occurred on March 12, 2026. A hacker allegedly gained access to a support agent account at Telus International, a business process outsourcing partner.
The stolen records originated from Crunchyroll’s Zendesk support system. Compromised data includes user names, email addresses, IP addresses, and viewing history.
