Sony Interactive Entertainment will implement a global price increase for PlayStation 5 consoles on April 2, 2026. The company attributes the decision to persistent pressures within the global economic landscape.

The standard PlayStation 5 with a disc drive will cost $649.99 in the U.S. market. Retail pricing for the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will rise to $599.99. The high-end PlayStation 5 Pro will carry a new retail price of $899.99. Sony will also increase the PlayStation Portal remote player price to $249.99.

These price adjustments will also take effect across Europe, the U.K., and Japan.
