S&P Dow Jones Indices licensed the S&P 500 for its first-ever perpetual futures contract. The product will trade on the decentralized exchange Hyperliquid through an agreement with Trade[XYZ]. This derivative enables 24/7 trading of the benchmark U.S. equity index, bypassing traditional exchange hours.

The launch marks a significant convergence between traditional finance and digital asset markets. Perpetual contracts differ from conventional futures by having no expiration date. The product is available exclusively to eligible non-U.S. investors. It utilizes official, institutional-quality index data from S&P DJI to provide a reliable on-chain benchmark.
