S&P Global Ratings announced the completion of its more than 43 percent equity investment in FiinRatings, Vietnam's leading local credit rating agency. The finalization of the deal, first announced in February, solidifies a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing support for Vietnam's developing debt capital markets. The collaboration will focus on analytical knowledge transfer and joint market education initiatives. The partnership is expected to bolster FiinRatings' analytical capabilities by aligning them with international standards and practices. Nguyen Quang Thuan, executive chairman of FiinRatings, stated the collaboration brings "strategic resources, international experience, and global standards." S&P Global Ratings will appoint two members to the FiinRatings Board of Directors, deepening the integration between the two entities and aiming to improve transparency in the region's capital markets.
