S&P Global agreed to sell its geoscience and petroleum engineering software portfolio to SLB. This divestiture includes the Kingdom Software and Petra tools. The transaction is expected to close in late 2026 or early 2027. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The company is launching Titan, a new AI-powered data platform for the upstream sector. Titan targets an estimated 110,000 users. The platform will serve 4,000 organizations once fully launched later this year following a beta period.
S&P Global will continue to distribute its proprietary data through the divested software. The company will also partner with SLB to develop new AI models.
