Corporate insiders in the United States accelerated their equity liquidations during the first six months of 2026, offloading a total of $77.6 billion in shares. This figure represents a 20% year-over-year increase in selling activity compared to the same period in the previous year.
The $77.6 billion total marks the highest volume of insider selling recorded for a half-year period since the first half of 2021. Furthermore, this level of divestment stands as the second-largest half-year total observed in more than two decades of market history.
