STAAR Surgical Appoints New CTO, Driving Multi-Product Platform Strategy

STAAR Surgical Company appointed Ben Park, Ph.D., as Chief Technology Officer. Park joins the executive committee and reports to President and CEO Warren Foust. He previously served as head of emerging technology at Align Technology, Inc.

The hire supports a strategic transition from a single-product focus to a multi-product platform. CEO Warren Foust cited Park’s experience in commercializing medical device platforms as critical to the company's innovation roadmap.

Separately, Zacks Research downgraded STAAR Surgical stock from strong-buy to hold.
