Stellantis NV will invest over €1 billion ($1.16 billion) to produce a new van at its Hordain plant in northern France. This capital supports a broader strategy to overhaul and modernize the automaker's European manufacturing operations.
The company will allocate funds to upgrade the Hordain facility and finance nationwide research and development. CEO Antonio Filosa is leading this initiative to revamp the company's regional footprint.
Stellantis aims to increase efficiency by expanding automation and moving supplier processes in-house. The investment supports the Pro One commercial vehicle division, which plans to launch 11 new models by 2030.
