Stellantis will invest €5 billion in Italian research and development. Unions FIOM-CGIL and FIM-CISL announced the plan following a meeting with the company's Head of Europe.
The automaker guaranteed that no Italian factories will close. Stellantis also committed to maintaining current production output levels across the country.
CEO Carlos Tavares will address these commitments during an upcoming appearance before the Italian Parliament. The announcement aims to stabilize the company's manufacturing footprint and address labor concerns.
