Medical technology giant Stryker is facing a worldwide system outage following a major cyberattack on March 11, 2026. The disruption wiped data from company devices including laptops and mobile phones. Thousands of employees remain unable to work due to the severe global disruption. Stryker confirmed the breach specifically targeted its Windows environment.
Pro-Iranian hacktivist group Handala claimed responsibility for the breach. The group deployed destructive wiper malware designed to permanently erase data rather than extort a ransom. Handala described the attack as a retaliatory measure.
Handala’s logo appeared on Stryker’s internal login pages during the incident. Stryker instructed all employees to disconnect company-issued devices immediately. The company is currently working to restore its affected systems.
