Tencent launched ClawBot to integrate the OpenClaw open-source AI agent into its WeChat messaging app. More than one billion monthly active users can now interact with the AI agent directly through the chat interface. Users can issue commands to perform tasks such as transferring files and sending emails.
The move intensifies AI competition among China's technology giants following Tencent's recent launch of its own AI agent suite. Rival Alibaba recently released Wukong for enterprise tasks. Baidu also rolled out a series of agents built on OpenClaw for various devices and services.
