Tencent Holdings is launching an artificial intelligence agent named Dayuan for its WeCom enterprise communication app. The tool has begun rolling out to select users.

Dayuan analyzes corporate data including chats, emails, and calendars to improve client interactions. The move intensifies the AI competition among Chinese technology giants.

Tencent previously tested consumer-facing AI features within its main WeChat app. Company shares rose as much as 6% in Hong Kong following the announcement. This marked the largest intraday increase for the stock in three weeks.
