EPA certification documents reveal new technical specifications for Tesla’s upcoming Cybercab. The autonomous vehicle features a two-seat configuration. It marks Tesla's first model powered exclusively by a front-mounted motor. The filings list a gross battery capacity of 53.3kWh. This battery provides an estimated real-world range of approximately 471 kilometers or 292 miles.

Tesla first unveiled the Cybercab in October 2024 as the foundation of its autonomous ride-hailing strategy. The vehicle design excludes traditional controls like steering wheels and pedals. While hardware details are now public, Tesla has not confirmed production timelines or full autonomous capabilities. Separately, the company began deploying its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software in Australia and New Zealand.
