Thomson Reuters expanded its partnership with Anthropic to integrate the Claude AI model into the CoCounsel Legal platform.
The integration allows legal professionals to switch between Claude’s general AI capabilities and CoCounsel’s specialized, citation-backed legal database. Anthropic’s technology will rebuild CoCounsel to process plain-language inquiries and draft documents with verifiable citations.
The initiative supports Thomson Reuters’ strategy to deliver fiduciary-grade AI for high-stakes professional environments. The next generation of CoCounsel Legal will launch in the summer.
