Cybertruck sales declined 48.1% in 2025, according to Cox Automotive data. Deliveries totaled 20,237 units, down from 38,965 units the previous year.

This drop occurred amid a broader downturn in the electric vehicle market. The slump is attributed largely to the elimination of the $7,500 federal tax credit for the Cybertruck and other EVs.

Tesla's overall U.S. vehicle sales fell 7% in 2025. Tesla cited uncertainty from shifting trade and fiscal policies as a headwind in its third-quarter report. A 2025 Yale study suggested CEO Elon Musk’s political alignment contributes to shifting consumer brand preferences.
