Federal regulators have initiated another investigation into Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature following dozens of incidents. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is examining 58 cases where Tesla vehicles using FSD reportedly violated traffic laws, resulting in over a dozen crashes and multiple injuries. This new probe adds to several ongoing investigations into Tesla's autonomous driving technology. The incidents under review include vehicles running red lights and driving on the wrong side of the road. The investigation could significantly impact Elon Musk's plans to deploy fully autonomous vehicles through software updates. Separately, at the recent annual shareholder meeting, CEO Elon Musk announced the development of a new AI chip, known as AI5, and suggested a potential collaboration with Intel for its manufacturing. This news followed the shareholder approval of Musk's controversial pay package.
