Tesla is implementing a modular unboxed manufacturing process for its Cybercab at Gigafactory Texas. This method builds vehicle sections in parallel before final assembly. The strategy aims to reduce production costs and accelerate fleet scaling.

VP of Vehicle Engineering Lars Moravy confirmed the dedicated production line is operational. Automation levels on the Cybercab line currently exceed 90%.

Production follows a gradual S-curve with exponential growth expected by late 2024. Tesla launched its robotaxi service in several Texas cities and recently expanded to Miami. The current fleet remains small while Tesla validates its autonomous software.
