Tesla Inc. (TSLA) has set a new record for annual car sales in Norway, surpassing the previous high set by any automaker for a full year with one month still remaining in 2025. The company registered 28,606 vehicles through the end of November, driven by strong sales of its Model Y. The previous record was held by Volkswagen with 26,575 units sold in 2016. November sales in Norway were particularly strong, with 6,215 Tesla vehicles registered, nearly a threefold increase from the previous year. This surge is attributed to consumers rushing to purchase electric vehicles before a planned tax hike in January. This success in Norway contrasts with Tesla's performance in other parts of Europe, where registrations have seen a decline.
