The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) reported a significant drop in Tesla’s November European sales. Registrations across the European Union, Euro Free Trade Association, and the UK fell 11.8% year-over-year, totaling 22,801 units.

Reports indicate a steeper 34.2% decline within the EU alone. Consequently, Tesla’s regional market share contracted to 2.1%, down from 2.5% the previous year.

The sales decline underscores intensifying competition, particularly from Chinese automaker BYD. BYD’s sales in the region surged 221.8% year-over-year in November.

The automaker reached 21,133 units sold. This rapid expansion grew BYD’s market share to 2%, up from 0.6% a year prior, positioning it as a formidable competitor to Tesla.
