Tesla Inc. secured approval for its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software in Belgium. Annick De Ridder, the transport minister for Belgium's Flanders region, announced the decision. Belgium represents the fifth European Union country to greenlight the technology.
The move follows a recent approval in Denmark, signaling growing regulatory momentum across Europe. Tesla shares rose in pre-market trading on Thursday following the announcement. The company identifies FSD expansion as a critical source of future revenue.
Tesla also released safety data from the Netherlands to support the rollout. FSD-equipped vehicles reported 3.5 times fewer collisions compared to human drivers.
