Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) reported record monthly revenue of NT$416.98 billion ($13.19 billion) for May. This figure represents a 30.1% increase from the previous year. Revenue rose 1.5% from April, surpassing the previous record set in March.
Cumulative revenue for the first five months of 2026 reached NT$1.96 trillion. This total marks a 30% year-over-year increase.
Robust demand for advanced artificial intelligence chips drove the strong performance. TSMC serves as the primary manufacturing partner for AI leaders Nvidia and Apple. Major technology companies continue to expand computing infrastructure to support AI applications.
The results position TSMC to meet its second-quarter financial guidance. The company forecasts full-year revenue growth to exceed 30% in U.S. dollar terms.
