Unity and Epic Games have announced a significant partnership that will allow developers to publish games built with Unity directly into Fortnite, granting them access to an ecosystem with over 500 million registered accounts. The collaboration, revealed at Unity's annual Unite conference, will enable Unity creators to tap into the Fortnite Creator Economy. This move signals a notable alliance between two of the gaming industry's leading technology providers. In addition to the Fortnite integration, Unity will also extend its cross-platform commerce platform to support Epic's Unreal Engine starting in early 2026. This will provide Unreal developers with more options for managing their digital catalogs, payment systems, and web stores across various platforms. The companies stated that more specific details regarding the partnership and product timing would be released in the coming year.
