United Airlines announced on October 14, 2025, that its first mainline aircraft equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi will fly on October 15, 2025, from Newark, NJ, to Houston, TX. This marks the first time a major U.S. airline will offer Starlink's high-speed, low-latency internet connectivity on a mainline flight, available through personal devices and seatback screens. The airline plans to install the technology on up to 15 Boeing 737-800s per month and has already equipped more than half of its regional jet fleet with Starlink. The service will be complimentary for all MileagePlus members. Following the announcement, UAL shares were trading 0.80% lower at $98.46 on the Nasdaq.
