United Airlines experienced operational disruptions at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) on Sunday, February 16, 2026. These issues occurred during Presidents Day weekend.
The airport recorded 20 flight cancellations. Another 207 flights faced delays. United and American Airlines reported the highest impact among carriers.
Between 20,000 and 25,000 passengers faced travel impacts at ORD. Weather constraints, air traffic congestion, and operational bottlenecks caused the disruptions.
Separately, a United Airlines Boeing 767 made a safe emergency landing in Dublin on February 15. The aircraft operated as a non-passenger maintenance flight.
An electrical system fault triggered the landing. Technicians are currently inspecting the aircraft.
