United Airlines and its flight attendant union reached a tentative labor agreement featuring substantial wage increases. Hourly wages for the most senior flight attendants will start at $84.78. Senior pay is projected to exceed $100 per hour by 2030.
The package includes approximately $740 million in retroactive pay. The contract introduces boarding pay and compensation for international ground time. Proposed pay rates sit 1% higher than a deal rejected in summer 2025.
Union leadership unanimously approved the deal for a member ratification vote. Voting will occur between April 23 and May 12. New pay rates will take effect in June if members approve the contract.
