United Airlines received its first Boeing 787-9 featuring the United Elevated long-haul interior. This delivery signals a strategic shift toward premium-heavy international routes.
The aircraft will debut in March 2026. Initial operations will cover routes from San Francisco to London and Singapore.
The redesigned Dreamliner contains a total of 222 seats. The configuration includes 64 Polaris business class seats. Eight of these business class positions are new Polaris Studio suites. The aircraft also features 35 Premium Plus seats.
The total premium count of 99 seats represents the highest percentage of premium seating among U.S. carriers. United confirmed all future Boeing 787 deliveries will feature this interior as part of a broader fleet transformation.
