On January 23, 2026, the National Center for Public Policy Research's Free Enterprise Project (FEP) urged Visa shareholders to support three proposals at the upcoming annual meeting on January 27. The FEP also recommended investors vote against the current slate of directors.
The three proposals concern an audit of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) policies, board independence, and online sexual exploitation.
The FEP specifically requests an audit to determine the return on investment of Visa's inclusion initiatives. The group expressed concern over what it terms "costly, ineffective and sometimes illegal DEI policies."
Visa Inc. made no major announcements. The company is currently in a quiet period before its earnings release on January 29.
