Visa agreed to acquire Israeli cybersecurity firm BioCatch for $2.4 billion in cash. The deal targets AI-powered financial crimes that cost the global economy over $1 trillion annually.

BioCatch technology analyzes user interactions like keystrokes and mouse movements to identify fraudsters in real-time. This behavioral biometric system adds a security layer that detects threats before payment transactions occur.

BioCatch currently serves more than 350 financial institutions worldwide. Visa expects the transaction to close by the end of its fiscal second quarter in 2027.
