Visa partnered with TreviPay to launch a "Pay by Invoice" solution for its issuing banks. The initiative targets the North American B2B payments market, aiming to move more business spending onto the Visa network.
The collaboration combines TreviPay’s automation technology with Visa’s commercial payment capabilities.
Suppliers receive payments quickly, typically within two days. Corporate buyers settle invoices on negotiated terms, such as 30, 60, or 90 days.
This solution addresses B2B payments still conducted through manual processes, including checks. Visa expects the initiative to potentially increase its transaction volume in the commercial payments space.
