ConocoPhillips started production at its Coyote 3SX project on Alaska's North Slope. The development will add up to 12,000 barrels of oil per day.
The Houston-based company completed the project ahead of schedule. Total costs remained under the approximately $800 million budget.
Production integrates into the Kuparuk River Unit, one of North America's largest oil fields. Crude will flow through the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System, where ConocoPhillips maintains an ownership stake.
This project aligns with the company’s $1 billion annual investment strategy in Alaska. The region remains a critical component of U.S. domestic energy supply.
