A U.S. House committee subpoenaed billionaire Les Wexner for testimony regarding convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Wexner founded the company that formerly owned Victoria's Secret, and lawmakers describe him as a central figure in the ongoing investigation.
The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform secured the subpoena. This action also targets the two executors of Epstein’s estate. The committee views the subpoenas as a significant advancement in the investigation into Epstein’s network.
Lawmakers are focused on identifying individuals who may have enabled Epstein’s illegal activities. Wexner stepped down as CEO in 2020. He consistently states that he severed ties with Epstein in 2007, following initial allegations of sex abuse.
