Viatris Wins FDA Approval for Gwyn Lo Weekly Contraceptive Patch

Viatris received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for Gwyn Lo, a once-weekly transdermal contraceptive patch.

The low-dose estrogen product prevents pregnancy in women with a body mass index below 30 kg/m².

The Phase 3 Luminous Study demonstrated the patch's contraceptive efficacy and safety profile.

Only 1.3% of nearly 40,000 patches fully detached during the year-long trial.

Viatris expects Gwyn Lo to be commercially available later this year.
