Wells Fargo is reportedly in talks with Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, to secure liquidity for crypto trading services. The potential deal would give the bank access to digital-asset markets and order execution without building its own trading infrastructure.
The talks are ongoing, but no deal is guaranteed. Wells Fargo and Payward declined to comment on the private discussions.
The move would deepen Wells Fargo’s push into digital assets. The bank already offers clients access to Bitcoin ETFs and has invested in crypto-related infrastructure firms.
