Airbus SE announced a €5 billion ($5.7 billion) share buyback program. Shares of the aerospace giant rose more than 7% following the announcement. The company raised its 2029 core operating profit target to between €12 billion and €13 billion.

Improved supply chain visibility allows Airbus to increase A320-family jet production. The company aims to produce 70 to 75 aircraft per month by 2027. Management is also exploring production increases for the A350 widebody beyond the current 12-unit monthly goal.

These targets reflect a recovery in the commercial aviation sector. Airbus remains a significant component for many industrial ETFs.
