China’s Commerce Ministry announced plans to purchase 200 Boeing aircraft on Wednesday. The deal includes U.S. guarantees for the supply of engine parts and components. China is also seeking an extension of the trade agreement established with the U.S. last year.

Both nations will pursue reciprocal tariff reductions on goods valued at $30 billion or more. These reductions are contingent on U.S. tariffs not exceeding levels set in the Kuala Lumpur arrangement. The move aims to stabilize trade relations and ease supply chain pressures for the industrial sector.
