The U.S. Department of War, L3Harris, and Lockheed Martin signed two seven-year framework agreements. These deals aim to increase production capacity for Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) MSE and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) components.
L3Harris will accelerate manufacturing of advanced solid rocket motors, Attitude Control Motors, and Lethality Enhancers. These components are critical for interceptor speed, range, and maneuverability.
Under Secretary Michael P. Duffey stated the agreements signal a decisive win for the Warfighter and the Arsenal of Freedom. The initiative addresses the need to scale critical munitions production amid heightened geopolitical tensions.
This move reinforces long-term growth prospects for the U.S. defense sector. Investors track this sector through ETFs such as ITA, PPA, and XAR.
