JPMorgan Chase launched its digital-only retail bank, Chase, in Germany on May 20, 2026. Germany represents the bank’s second European retail market after its 2021 entry into the United Kingdom. The launch follows several years of platform development and significant local hiring.

Chase currently offers German customers a free digital savings account with a competitive introductory interest rate. Customers access these services through a mobile app and website. JPMorgan plans to add current accounts, investment products, and lending services in 2027.

The expansion positions JPMorgan against established local banks and digital challengers. This move advances the firm’s broader international consumer banking ambitions.
